Working directly with producers has always been important to us. This ensures that we can source the most high quality cacao from producers that receive equitable prices and maintain organic methods in harmony with the rainforest.
Founding Alchemist Frederick Schilling regularly travels to cacao producing countries to meet with current suppliers and seek out new ones. Through this work, we've seen producers become friends, and have been able to collaborate on projects in quality improvement, ecological restoration, heirloom revival and community development. Our chocolate connects producers, consumers and the environment in delicious, lasting partnerships.
